CSV Import
If your collection is already tracked somewhere else, you don't have to start from scratch. The importer handles CSV exports from most of the popular platforms.
Supported Platforms
These are recognized and parsed directly:
Moxfield
Archidekt
Manabox
Dragon Shield
EDHRec
Untapped.gg (MTG Arena)
Any CSV that includes Scryfall IDs
How to Import
Go to your Collection page and click Import CSV in the header. Pick which platform the file came from. The tiles are labelled, and you have to choose one; only the Scryfall ID option works things out on its own. Then choose your file and hit Import Cards.
Be aware that it imports immediately. There's no preview step and no confirmation, so double-check you've picked the right platform before you commit.
When the report lists rows that could not be matched, you can download the failures as a CSV. It has the same shape as the file you uploaded, so you can fix the names in it and import that file on its own rather than hunting through the original. Afterwards you get a summary: rows read, cards matched, cards imported, and anything it couldn't make sense of.
If you already own a card that's in the file, the quantities are added together. You won't lose counts you already have. It's additive, not a replace. Which is also why importing the same file twice doubles everything.
One Important Note About Arena Collections
MTG Codex doesn't separate physical cards from digital ones. If you import an MTG Arena collection, those entries will sit in your collection right alongside your paper cards with no way to tell them apart later. We'd recommend keeping your physical and digital collections separate: either use this app for paper only, or treat it as digital only, but mixing both will eventually cause headaches.
